GREAT organizations!

Before I take off on the actual Extra Mile America Tour on the 21st, I wanted to connect with a few extra mile organizations in Los Angeles. Unfortunately for me, the nation's second largest city is not on the EMA tour route, but there are so mnay great extra-mile people and organizations that are contributing so much and need to be recognized.

Five weeks to go!

Less than five weeks to go!  There seems to be a ton of details to be completed before I start riding, but things are falling into place.We're starting to find some key people interested in the "extra mile" mission...and that is great for helping to create momentum. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey is the first to lend her support, and in that I am very grateful. If you're reading this, I would love it if you left your own extra-mile comment.  - Shawn

Training!

I pedaled 50+ miles today. The key is starting early and getting as many miles under my belt as possible. If it's late in the day, and I am pushing to get miles done...that gets more psychologically challenging. SIX weeks to go! - Shawn
